Nicaragua Freedom Coalition (“NFC”) seeks to be a catalyst for positive change in the lives of the Nicaraguan people by uniting organizations, groups and individuals concerned with the education, human rights, and humanitarian needs of Nicaraguans. To this end, we strive to educate the public and to help raise the voice of the worldwide diaspora, empowering advocates to make lasting improvements in the lives of refugees, the distressed, and those who aspire to achieve freedom, justice, democracy, and economic stability in Nicaragua.
NFC serves as an educational and advocacy platform for those concerned with the education, human rights, and humanitarian needs of Nicaraguans. We unite organizations, groups, and individuals as they advocate for freedom, justice, democracy, and economic stability in Nicaragua.
NFC’s activities started informally in 2018 when a group of like-minded Nicaraguan expatriates living in Washington, DC gathered with diaspora leaders and interested individuals to discuss the ongoing sociopolitical crisis in Nicaragua. Recognizing that we are diverse yet all strive for stability in Nicaragua, we founded NFC to provide a platform to exchange information, communicate and coordinate efforts, facilitate discussion, and foster constructive debate within the Nicaraguan diaspora and among the general public.
