Supporting advocacy for freedom, justice, democracy, and economic stability in Nicaragua.

Nicaragua Freedom Coalition “NFC” serves as an educational and advocacy platform for those concerned with the education, human rights, and humanitarian needs of Nicaraguans. We unite organizations, groups, and individuals as they advocate for freedom, justice, democracy, and economic stability in Nicaragua.

Advocate

NFC organizes conferences, panel discussions, roundtables, and other events to raise awareness of the current instability and human and civil rights situation in Nicaragua and to advocate for a peaceful and non-violent solution to the sociopolitical crisis.

Emphasis is placed on providing programs that reach a range of interests to the diverse diaspora network and mobilizing their efforts.

In 2018-2019, NFC held two conferences and several private forums to engage in discussions concerning the current crisis in Nicaragua, including a regional meeting of prominent leaders from Nicaraguan organizations and groups in the United States to achieve greater coordination and cohesion. After rich discussions, reports of the meetings and statements have been issued about the human rights situation and refugee crisis in Nicaragua and other issues affecting the country and the region.

Outreach

Among NFC’s goals, NFC seeks to raise awareness of the situation in Nicaragua through every medium possible, including social media and our website. Our work includes connecting and engaging those within the diaspora and exchanging and circulating relevant information to the NFC network, such as press releases, reliable news, and other current events. NFC seeks out opportunities for visibility through public information and social media campaigns, and for engaging policy-makers, influencers and the general public by sending representatives as “ambassadors” to promote our mission.

“An excellent resource that highlights the struggle of our opposition leaders.”
